The Ngongotaha Ultimate Journey - 2 hour return trip
Travel through the beautiful Dansey Scenic Reserve and surrounding farmland on the steep 1:35 gradient railway in your own self-drive RailCruiser between Ngongotaha and Mamaku return. With stunning lake panorama, the 360 degree views from your RailCruiser makes this trip the ultimate railway experience.

Departure location is Ngongotaha Station

Warm clothing, windbreaker and camera.
Snacks and drinks to eat at the turnaround station (tea, coffee and hot chocolate are provided for you to make your own at the turnaround point also)
RailCruisers are designed for all weather use with drop down sides and on board heating.

Mamaku Scenic Rail Tour (MAM)
Mamaku Scenic Rail Tour - 1 hour: starting at Mamaku Railcruising Station
Have you always wanted to ride the rails! Starting at Mamaku Station, travel down the steep 1:35 gradient railway in your own self-drive RailCruiser to Ngongotaha. After leaving Mamaku station travel a short distance through farmland till you reach the virgin forests of Ohokeriki (Dansey Reserve). After this you will see stunning lake views in front of you before heading through the Ngongotaha valley ending at Ngongotaha Railcruising Station. The 360 degree views from your RailCruiser makes this trip a great experience on the revitalised rail line. At the end of your trip you will be travel back in our complimentary shuttle to your car.
