1/2 Day Bike Hire
Freedom hire from our range of bikes. Rent a bike and helmet for a half day (4 hours) and explore the region. We have a range of bike sizes available which are suitable for most mountain bike tracks around the area. The Tongariro River Trail is a great track to explore, bring a picnic and take your time as you take in the scenery. 2 Hour Bike Hire
Rent a bike and helmet for two hours and explore the town and surroundings. We have a wide range of bike sizes suitable for anyone. The Tongariro River Trail starts just a 3 minute ride from our base and is the perfect track to complete in 2 hours.

42 Traverse - Guided
Let one of our guides take you on a journey. Known as one of the best adventure mountain bike rides in the North Island, the 42 Traverse is a 46km multi-use track that travels through the Tongariro Forest Conservation Area.
This is a Grade 3 guided ride with 520m of descent. It can take between 3 – 7 hours to ride. Price includes bike hire, guide, packed lunch and shuttle to/from the track.

Blue Duck Experience
Join us in discovering how The Blue Duck Project has grown the population of Whio (Blue duck) over the last 12 years. Combine the grade 3 whitewater with an Eco experience that includes learning about our rare native Whio (Blue ducks). You’ll also get to help us check traps along the Tongariro River. These are small personal tours with no more than 10 people per trip and lasts around 4-5 hours altogether.

Family Rafting and Sky Waka
Bring your family along to experience two of the top family activities in the Taupo and Ruapehu districts.
Ride the Sky Waka Gondola for 1.8 km, up through Whakapapa ski field to the Knoll Ridge Chalet. To enjoy epic views of Tongariro National Park with lunch or just a coffee and cake!
Enjoy a family ride down the Tongariro River on exciting yet safe grade 2 rapids. Led through beautiful New Zealand Flora and fauna by your white water guide. This trip is suitable for children 5+ with a parent.

Tongariro Duo
Take a guided mountain bike trip through the Tree Trunk Gorge track, straight to the top of the river, where you will meet our team to take you rafting down the Tongariro River.
Firstly bike through Tree Trunk Gorge. A beautiful ride that weaves its way through native forest. Short steep climbs bring you to exciting downhill rides, that leave you feeling excited and accomplished!
You will end your mountain biking at Poutu intake, where you will get ready for your 2 hour ride down the river! We will take you on a journey through deep, lush gorges covered in native New Zealand vegetation. All while navigating exciting grade 3 rapids with your white water guide.

Tongariro River Trail
Take a guided trip around the Tongariro River Trail by one of our fun and experienced guides. The Tongariro River track is a great trail for beginners and/or children. It follows the world-famous trout river past rolling farmland, beech forests and fern glades. Mountain bike hire included.
This track 16km long, and can be shortened to suit you!

Tree Trunk Gorge

White Water Rafting
This half-day Tongariro River journey is one of the best rafting adventures in New Zealand. The rapids are Grade 3, which makes this an ideal adventure for expert or first-time rafters alike.
In 2 hours you navigate over 60 roller coaster rapids through gorges only accessible by raft and helicopter.

Raft Fishing
Raft Fishing is one of the most pleasurable ways to journey down currents both swift and slow. Raft through cathedral-like gorges, past unwalked gravel bars and sandy banks, and under the canopy of native forests to fish in pressure-free conditions where Trout are often big and cunning.
Raft fishing is booked on demand between December 1 and May 31 (inclusive). With all Raft-Fishing trips we spend 8-9 hours on the river.

Duck n Dive

Next, it’s time for your white water rafting trip! We will take you on a journey through deep, lush gorges covered in native New Zealand vegetation. All while navigating exciting grade 3 rapids with your white water rafting guide.
Skydive: Please bring closed toe footwear and warm clothing for Skydiving (in winter).

H2-Ohh
Ride on two of the most spectacular rivers in the North Island with the ultimate white water adventure combo. Dash to the base of the world famous Huka Falls aboard Hukafalls Jet and enjoy the 360 degree spins as you zoom past cliffs and trees at up to 80km/hr. In the afternoon you are in for an exciting paddle down the Tongariro River (Turangi)
Life jackets for jetboating. For whitewater rafting wetsuits, river shoes, helmets and life jackets are provided.
For jet boating in winter, wear warm clothing including a jacket and beanie. Sunglasses are recommended year round. For whitewater rafting bring your swimwear and a towel - all other equipment is provided.
Minimum age 11 years for rafting, minimum height, to ride the jet boat is 1 metre tall.

Family Floats
This leisurely trip down the soft, tumbling waters of the Lower Tongariro brings the magic alive for first time rafters and especially children between 5 and 13 years old. You still get to paddle and there are some small rapids to navigate but nothing too wet or wild.

Access 14 The Big Daddy of the river. This grade 4 section of the river only flows on 3 days of the year. Come and experience the premier section of grade 4 whitewater in New Zealand. This steep continuous section of whitewater will have you grinning ear to ear the same as your guides.

Big Splash
The Big Splash is about being WET in the summer and COOL in the winter, by doing a wicked combination of bungy jumping and rafting. We offer an action-packed day, that's on the wild side!
Throw yourself from the highest water touch bungy platform in NZ, at Taupo Bungy. From 47metres high, above the Waikato River, you choose to stay dry or immerse yourself in the crystal clear waters below - from your fingertips to your ankles. Set in a spectacularly scenic location, this is a 'must-do' activity whilst visiting the Taupo region.
Rafting Trip - Enjoy a grade 3+ Whitewater Rafting adventure that combines the heart- pumping action of more than 60 rapids (with an expert guide at the helm) and plenty of spectacular, unspoilt wilderness - as a large part of this trip can only be accessed by raft or kayak.
