Karoro

This 90 minutes taster weaves along the coastline of the islands western end. The stunning backdrop of Vineyards provides a canvas of historic Maori defences merged with coastal architecture and rugged sea kissed coves. An ideal option for early birds which gives you time to re-join with your group for brunch and further island experiences.

*Karoro is a southern black-backed gull seen throughout the Hauraki gulf

Takapu

We glide along the islands Northern or Southern coastline featuring sandy beaches, sea caves and hidden coves. Coastal architecture perches above the waves and clings to this rugged rock. Following the curves takes us to the less populated sub-tropical eastern end of Waiheke. Here there is time for snorkelling, swimming ashore for a swing under the ancient Pohutukawa trees or exploring the rock pools. The most iconic Waiheke coastline and sea-life is not accessible by road – only by Sea!

Takapu is our ‘Australasian Gannet, visible from August to March and related to the Booby
