'Behind the Scenes' Tour - includes 'Feed-A-Barra'

A comprehensive experience with our qualified guides, including a short video presentation describing our mission followed by getting up close and personal with the big fish! We will hand feed 1metre plus barramundi in our exhibition tank, containing retired brood stock. We then move into the working side of the hatchery, where the magic happens. This is where we spawn our fish, raise our fingerlings and grow live food.

Please Bring

You must wear covered shoes and be physically capable of stepping in a foot bath containing betadine. People using wheelchairs and walking sticks will be accommodated via disinfectant spray - please advise the guide of your needs on arrival to the centre. This is a biosecurity measure to protect our fingerlings and fish from pathogens.
