Horse Ride

Our rides let you see what splendid views the area has to offer. We start off from the stable yard working our way through our fields with other animals joining up or just being curious. We ride to a high point of the Te Anau basin to earn the panoramic 360 degree view of the spectacular mountain ranges and sparkling waters of Lake Te Anau. We have a rest and light refreshment before setting off again.

For those wanting to canter, there is an ideal spot while the others watch or take photos. This needs to be requested at time of booking.

We Provide

Please Bring

- Sunscreen and a windbreaker / light rain jacket
- Camera (your guide will take a photo of you and your horse with the mountains or lake as a magnificient memento for you)
- Sturdy footwear, Closed toe, not high heels
- Long trousers!

Restrictions

Rider weight limit 95 kg/210lbs.
We have horses to suit all levels of riders confidence. Beginners and people with no previous experience are welcome - our horses are calm and will look after you. For the more experience riders we have horses with a bit more spirit so we can match a horse to you so you can have fun too.

Novice Horse Ride

Quad Bike Adventures

Before your tour commences, we will provide you with protective clothing. There is a full safety briefing given as well as full instruction and tuition on how to ride your quad bike to ensure that you are comfortable with operating your quad bike. You will then go with your guide out to our familiarisation and training paddock where you can get the feel for your quad bike.

Your guides are there to help you so don’t be afraid to ask questions. If at any stage during the trip there is something you do not want to do or feel uncomfortable doing, let your guide know and they will come and assist you.

Restrictions

Please note that you need to be aged 16 or over to ride our quad bikes.
Beginners and people with no previous experience are welcome since our guides are specialised in guiding beginners and never ridden before clients through to the experienced riders.
