Mitai Maori Village Experience

Come and meet the People of the Land at Mitai Maori Village. The Mitai Family endeavour to bring you the most authentic Maori Cultural experience in NZ today.
This experience includes the world famous Fairy Spring, the Maori war canoe (waka) paddle-by, Maori song and dance (haka), traditionally cooked hangi meal, glow worm tour and an evening bush walk and talk about Maori medicines.

Beauty by Night Combo ( Mitai Maori Village & Rainbow Springs)

This is your opportunity to combine your cultural experience with an enchanting visit to Rainbow Springs Nature Park by Night. Following your visit to Mitai, you are escorted through the bush to start your night lit extravaganza of the Rainbow Springs Nature Park.

View wildlife and bush under an array of coloured lights. This is a truly magical blend of Māori Culture and Nature in a unique all-in-one night time package to be remembered forever.
A guided tour of the night-time Kiwi walk through enclosure is also included.

Spirit Mountain Combo - (Adventure Playground & Mitai Maori Village)

"SPIRIT MOUNTAIN where culture starts in Rotorua"
A combo package offering and a guided scenic excursion to the summit of Mount Ngongotaha in 4WD buggies, followed by an authentic introduction to Māori culture at Mitai Māori Village in the evening.

The Buggy excursions run at 10.30am or 2:30pm, the duration is approx 1 ½ hours

Wai, Kai and Relax combo (Polynesian Spa & Mitai Maori Village)

Be enthralled by the warriors in traditional dress paddle an ancient warrior canoe (waka) down the Wai-o-whiro stream (WAI – WATER), and don’t miss your only opportunity in the Rotorua area to see glow worms in their natural habitat. Witness your traditional earth cooked hangi feast (KAI – FOOD) being lifted from the ground and in the tranquil natural bush setting, performers take you back in time when the ancient Maori customs and traditions were part of everyday life. Then relax and ease any tension with the healing properties of two natural springs at the world famous Polynesian Spa.
