Cruise Stunning Milford Sound

Leaving Queenstown and flying west towards Milford Sound with vast areas of native forest and alpine High country farmland, into the Fiordland National park we are surrounded by numerous hidden valleys, waterfalls and alpine lakes before landing at Milford Sound your pilot will escort you to the tourist boat terminal and check-in for your informative Milford Sound cruise.

On our return flight we fly past ice shelves and Glaciers before enjoy a snow/glacier landing for photo opportunities. We then return to Queenstown to conclude the tour.

Fiordland Exclusive

Departing Queenstown we head South West over Mavora Lakes before making a quick stop to top up with fuel for a full day flying in Fiordland National Park. Here we encounter the wonders of Te Anau and Manapouri before we enter Dusky & Breaksea Sounds for a landing in the heart of of this massive wilderness area where rugged peaks and steep forested valleys give way to twisting hidden inlets.

We continue on to Doubtful Sound, view the Browne falls as well as the famous Campbell’s Kingdom before meeting the wild coast for a beach landing. Then depart North through George Sound, view Sutherland Falls - New Zealand’s highest waterfall at 589m. Stretch your legs at the 8th Natural Wonder of the World, Milford Sound with endless photo opportunities everywhere you look. We then head East to our picnic lunch location - relax and enjoy the views over Lake Wakatipu, Glenorchy and Mt Aspiring National Park while your pilot prepares lunch with local produce, wine, craft beer and a selection of juices.

Fox and Franz Glacier Discovery

One of the most epic tours to Franz Josef and Fox glaciers, we head over Wanaka and Hawea into the heart of the Southern Alps. Experience a glacier landing for 10-15mins high above the valley for once in a lifetime photo opportunities. Your friendly pilot has turned the heater on for you and are now soaring next to Mt cook, New Zealand’s highest mountain, over and around numerous crevasses, down the famous Franz Josef glacier before landing at the township. Enjoy a leisurely stop to stretch the legs, take photos and for refreshments.

Southbound to the township of Fox , then up and over the Fox Glacier across the main divide of the Southern Alps, past Mt Sefton, take in the vast Mackenzie Basin and numerous hydro and Alpine lakes, we conduct our last alpine landing with 360 degree views before returning back to Queenstown.

Get ready for a 20 minute scenic helicopter flight over beautiful Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding mountains where you’ll experience an alpine landing and a different view of Queenstown before returning to our base at Queenstown Airport. From here, you’ll be transported via our courtesy van to Thunder Jet on Queenstown Bay. We then continue on through Fiordland National Park to the remote West coast and experience a beach landing. Here beside the Tasman Sea you can soak up the fresh salt air with vast ocean views and generally warmer temperatures. Excellent opportunities for lots of photos too! Leaving the beach we fly over beautiful subtropical rainforest to Milford Sound, the 8th Natural Wonder of the World.

Enjoy a short bush walk for fantastic photos of the sound with the iconic Mitre Peak in the distance or sit back and soak up the views over a coffee/tea at the local cafe before leaving to return to Queenstown.

Milford Sound Heli Express

Milford Track Heli Hike

Leaving Queenstown behind we fly west towards the head of Lake Wakatipu. At the top of the lake we fly past ice shelves, waterfalls and enjoy a mountain landing on snow/ice. We then continue on through Fiordland National Park to Milford Sound, the 8th Natural Wonder of the World.

From here your guide will escort you to the start of the Milford Track to Sand-fly point after a short 5min boat ride. The walk meanders alongside the cascading Arthur River through lush rainforest to Giant’s gate. After viewing this incredible waterfall return to Milford Sound airport to meet your Helicopter.

On our way back to Queenstown we fly past ice shelves and enjoy an alpine landing for photo opportunities.

Mt Cook Explorer

As we depart Queenstown we fly North East over the historic Cardrona valley, view Lake Wanaka and Hawea as well the beautiful and photographic Lindis Pass. Fly overhead the mighty Ahuriri River and Lake Ohau before viewing Mt Cook, New Zealand’s highest mountain as we fly over Glentanner towards the heart of the Southern Alps, where we stop for an ice/snow landing and incredible photo opportunities.

View Glaciers galore with the Hooker, Tasman, Mueller and the Murchison glaciers all on show. Making our way back towards Queenstown we take the opportunity for a mountain landing overlooking rolling valleys and high country farmland with jagged peaks on the horizon before landing back at Queenstown Airport.

Waitoto Wilderness experience

The Waiatoto Wilderness Experience departs the picturesque Queenstown and heads north over the Shotover River past Mount Aspiring, and taking in the beautiful Bonar, Therma and Voltar glaciers.

Once over the mountain divide you fly down the Waiatoto river to the West Coast. Here you will meet Wayne and Ruth from Waiatoto River Jet Boat Safari’s and enjoy a 2.5-hour jet boat experience. This is New Zealand’s only jet boat ride which goes from the Tasman sea to the heart of the Southern Alps and includes a half hour native rainforest walk, plenty of time to hear the wonderful bird song.

You return to Queenstown via Mount Aspiring national park which will include an alpine landing.
